Network Engineer

SUMMARY

Design, implement, and service (remote and onsite) telecommunication networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks, applying knowledge of systems analysis and design. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. Design network and computer security measures by establishing and enforcing policies using knowledge of principles of information security. Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc. and implement disaster recovery solutions using knowledge of network technology. Support IT relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and virtual environments built on Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware. Establish and implement remote access solutions; VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.

Ensure network optimization by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; and recommend network and data communications hardware and software. Planning, design and delivery of wireless access point(AP) solutions and standards. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to server and network topology, equipment, and configurations for the core network and customers. Evaluate, recommend, and implements strategies for LAN/WAN hardware and software requirements and capabilities related to internal and external customer needs, implementing advanced knowledge of Cisco IOS to optimize and enhance network performance
